How It Works
We partner with local community organizations serving Orange County Families. During a community site visit, Early Literacy Mentors provide books for participants and model discussion and interaction techniques, empowering caregivers to engage in conversations around books with their children.
Adolescent Parenting Program
A free program that serves any Orange County pregnant or parenting teens, nineteen years or younger, who want support achieving life goals and establishing family plans.
Head Start & Early Head Start
Eligible families receive an array of individual services based on each family’s situation, goals, needs, and aspirations including center-based care and NC PreK programming.
Refugee Support Center
Facilitates the transition of local North Carolina refugees to a new life in our community through services, access to resources, and skill development.
Orange Literacy
The Family Literacy program, provided by Orange Literacy, supports families through lessons and activities for caregivers and their children. While parents focus on English Language Acquisition, children are engaged in enrichment activities.
St. Thomas More Catholic Church
Located in Chapel Hill, St. Thomas More church has been a part of Orange County since the 1940s and works to provide a diverse, hospitable community for its members.
