Our Purpose
Our purpose is to provide high-quality books for parents to read with their young children. Our Early Literacy Mentors model reading and conversational techniques to help parents nurture brain development during the critical growth years from birth to Kindergarten.
Our Programs
Early Literacy Mentors visit families in their homes or at community sites bringing with them new, high-quality, age-appropriate books at each visit. During the visits, discussion and interaction techniques that nurture brain development, language acquisition, and the social/emotional health of the child are modeled to parents and caregivers. We also register all of the children enrolled in our programs in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
